PIPA, Plastics Industry Pipe Association of Australia Limited, is the national organisation recognised for effective issues management, and market development of safe and environmentally responsible plastics pipe systems in Australia.
PIPA is run by a CEO responsible to a Board. Member companies provide people for various committees. Members may download the PIPA logo for their use. The CEO of PIPA
PIPA has appointed David Sumner as the Chief Executive Officer and David has established a Management and Marketing Committee to coordinate the Polyolefins and PVC interests of the Association. Two Technical Committees, one for PVC and one for Polyolefins, are appointed by the Management and Marketing Committee to conduct work authorised by the Management and Marketing Committee.
The PIPA Board
PIPA directors represent the interests of PVC and of Polyolefin pipe systems. Currently there are nine seats on the PIPA Board, as shown below. Chairman is Stephen Smith, deputised by Bill Wood.
